The competition started off with an opening prayer by Mr Babatunde Kareem at 10:38am on Friday 5th of May, 2019. The recognition of the panel of judges and opening speech was taken by Miss Titilope.



The debate between The Light Academy and Glorified Unique College started at exactly 10:45am with chief speaker Ayodeji Semiloore and supporting speaker Tofio Eniola for The Light Academy supporting the notion that the national assembly has been effective in carrying out their legislative duties in the country and chief speaker Fowodu Oluwafisayomi and supporting speaker Ajakaiye Moyosore for Glorified Unique College was against the notion. This lasted for sixteen (16) minutes. By 11:05am, the next debate continued with chief speaker Osifade Rachael and supporting speaker Oke Collins of Success Group of School and Salami Victor, the chief speaker and Taiwo Temilade the supporting speaker of George and Duke School. Success Group of School was for the notion that there is no better government than the democratic system of government while George and Duke School opposed the notion. This round of the debate ended at 11:20am followed by a ten minutes break.

After the break, the quiz competition started with the following quiz contestants representing their schools below

At the end of the Quiz competiton, each of the schools as aforementioned came up these overall scores
The Light Academy —32.5
Glorified Unique College —17.5
Success Group of School —20
George and Duke School —40
Finally, adding both the quiz and debate scores
The Light Academy ended up with a total of 72.5
Glorified Unique College ended up with a total of 61.5
Success Group of School came up with a total of 59
George and Duke came up with a total of 83.
This qualified George and Duke School and The Light Academy for the next round of the competition as they took 1st and 2nd respectively.

Mr Bello then announced the results, giving words of encouragement to schools that didn't qualify while Miss Titilope gave refreshments and gifts to guests. Pictures were also taken with the schools that participated.
